Vedartha India
Opportunities Fund –
Series 1

A Category III Close-ended Alternative Investment Fund.

The strategy is designed to take contrarian calls in out-of-favour sectors where business fundamentals continue to hold up, while consciously avoiding overcrowded and over-owned themes.

Objective

To generate long-term capital appreciation through a contrarian, high-conviction approach, using dynamic allocation across select sectors of the Indian economy, anchored in a disciplined buy-and-hold strategy.

Investment Framework

The fund endeavours to follow a dynamic allocation approach. Our process blends top-down and bottom-up research. Top-down sector analysis driven by macro indicators, relative valuations, earnings revisions, and liquidity trends. Bottom-up stock selection within preferred sectors, focusing on fundamentally strong, scalable, and liquid businesses. Thus, we arrive 4 to 7 high-conviction pockets of value at any point in time. The fund follows the Management, Business & Business Cycles, and Valuation (MBV) framework with an emphasis on the business cycle.

Banner

This disciplined approach allows us to construct a high-conviction portfolio aligned with structural and cyclical opportunities within the Indian economy, while aiming for long-term wealth creation.
